California Dreamin'
A dear friend of ours named Jill Austin gave us a word. In it she described that God is giving us a dream team similar to Walt Disney and that we were going to create one of the happiest places on Earth. I have always been inspired by Disney's creativity and ability to administrate the creative process bringing forth productivity and tangible fruit with the imagination process. I also have wondered what would have happened if Disney had applied these gifts to social justice issues, political issues, and even the mainstream educational system. Since we have received that word from Jill which had a very spiritual application that the Disney team probably has never been fully invited into, many in our team have been having dramatic dreams.
We are dreaming of our future and what God is calling us too, and it is a blast. The challenge is to dream so big that it is impossible to do what you dream without divine interaction, but at the same time to start moving towards the dreams now so that we don't just live as dreamers.
Book Project and E-Magazine
Our writing projects are ongoing and exciting. Right now Jennifer Toledo is working on workbooks for families, a Children's prayer journal, and an exciting book on Social Transformation. Shawn Bolz is working on a book that will be out soon about the creative anointing and the coming renaissance that is imparting the heart to shift culture and is forerunning revival.
Love Revolution E-Magazine
We have amazing articles, interviews, and art lining the pages. We are also working on multiple formats to display the E-magazine, including a text only format for those of you who do not want to print the graphically intense version.
One of the challenges of doing such a hefty project each month like a free E-magazine is that we don't yet have the resources to take it through many polishing brushes of multiple graphic designers, editors, etc. but we are enjoying the raw feel. So much of what is released in the marketplace is over produced and we don't want to make excuses for our rough form of what we are presenting, it will get better, but bare with us through our growth. In other words our E-magazine is under construction for the next season. We do have some amazing interviews and guest articles coming that you will not want to miss!
Prayer Partnership and Practical Side
Thank God for your prayers! We have so needed them. It's not a season of warfare, but a season of settling into Los Angeles and the main prayers we need right now is that God shows us how to implement our team into all of our projects. God has given us such an amazing group of family to work with, and we need to know how to utilize each ones gifts and administrate the vision He has given us as a team. Pray for the backbone and administration to be built with a crack free foundation!
How to Get Involved
We have many opportunities for everyone to get involved whether it be in one of our creative arts teams, healing and prayer teams, volunteer groups, or home groups. Contact JoAnna at Joanna@expression58 for more information on ways to get involved.
Internships
If you are between the ages of 18-27 and you have a leadership foundation but want to really identify who you are and how to do the greater works God has called you to do then we have two internships for you that begin in September. One is our Isaiah 58 internship which has a mission's focus where you will be equipped for Social Transformation in the world. The second whom runs alongside the mission's internship is called FLI or Foundational Leadership Internship. In it you will have a true mentoring experience to be able to really identify your hearts passion or go deeper in what you already know and then take deliberate steps towards your calling.
Sow Into Financially/Become a Partner
Do you ever long to feel like you are part of something bigger? Are you a creative person that wants to be a part of the coming renaissance but you don't know how to get involved? Are you someone who is gripped with Social Justice issues but you don't know where to start to build? Do you want to begin to be a part of a vision and mandate that is touching the world? Do you know that when you give financially you inherit from every Kingdom work that we venture into? Our fruit becomes your fruit! What we build in the Kingdom becomes your equity! Resource Center
Our online bookstore/resource center in now! It is a collection of our ministries books, teaching CD's and DVD's, and other materials that specialize in the deeper life of intimacy with God, intercession, revelation, heavenly studies, renaissance efforts, new sound music, art, inspired clothing design, etc.
