TODAYS YOUR LIFE WITH SHAWN & SALLY PODCAST: SONIA CURTIS
Sonia Curtis was introduced to Hollywood through her father, Howard Curtis, a very successful stuntman. When her father died tragically in a parachuting accident, one way Sonia dealt with this incredible loss was by pursuing her creative dreams and developing her skills as an actress and singer. Training with renowned teachers such as Roy London, Cameron Thor, and Sandra Seacat, Sonia began booking roles in film and television on shows such as "Days of Our Lives," “Family Ties,” “Roseanne” and “So Little Time.” Her movie credits include “The Monster Squad,” “Terminal Bliss,” “Nowhere To Run” and recently “The Boston Strangler”. Sonia has also taught over 200 actors in classes and private coaching and served as a youth leader in Malibu and Whittier before returning to her academics. She was accepted to UCLA as a political science major after finishing her Associative Arts Degree at LAVC. While playing in churches, recording studios and gigs around the LA area she received many requests for a CD, which she hopes to produce one day. Currently Sonia trains with the renowned teacher Larry Moss and is incredibly grateful for his insights and knowledge. She penned a script, "Love Covers" based largely on her life which hopes to develop into an independent feature.
